Booking policy 

Thank you for your reservation at The Lantern.

We are an independent restaurant and rely on reservations being honoured. We kindly ask that should you need to make any amendments to your reservation that you do so as soon as possible. You can contact our reservations team on 02890328844 and they will be happy to help. Please do make us aware of any special requirements you may have along with any allergies or dietary requirements in your party and we will try our best to accommodate these.

Sunday-Thurs bookings - For reservations of 1-5 or more guests, card details are required to secure your reservation. 

Friday-Saturday bookings - For reservations of 1-5 guests, card details are required to secure your reservation. For reservations for 6 or more guests, a £10pp deposit is required to secure your reservation. 

Where card details are required, these details are kept securely with a third party called Stripe and will only be charged if the cancellation terms are not met. We ask for 24 hours notice of a cancellation or reduction in numbers and reservations that fail to give this notice will be subject to a £15pp fee.​ Where a deposit has been paid, we would ask for at least 48 hours notice of a cancellation or reduction in numbers. We reserve the right to retain your deposit if these terms are not met. 

We will contact you 48 hours prior to your reservation via email to confirm your booking, we are unable to hold unconfirmed bookings. We politely ask you to contact us if you are running late as we can hold tables for 15 minutes and will release it if we have not been contacted.

By making a reservation at The Lantern you agree to our reservation cancellation terms.

Cake Policy

We do not allow any outside food to be consumed within the restaurant due to our health and safety policy.

 

Parties of six or over 

A discretionary 10% service charge will be added to the bill of all parties over six.
